This week at College of Staten Island, Young Americans for Liberty was officially recognized by the school as a student organization.
Chapter President Anthony Librera commented, "If you're looking for a club to be involved in that's going to be making a lot of moves this semester, look no further." CSI, while a fairly large campus, has very few active student groups that are overtly political, which gives YAL the opportunity to become a major player on campus.
The group kicked off the year by doing Operation Politically Homeless, a survey project to help students identify themselves politically, as conservatives, libertarians, or liberals. The vast majority of students surveyed at CSI discovered that they held largely libertarian views.
